The humble simplicity of beautiful football is really what distinguishes it from other sports. I guess that only true passionate fans of the sport understand what football is really about. Sometimes I ask myself what makes a player look like an amazing magician? The key is inside the player. I guess that football is a sport that runs trough your vanes, you’re born with the desire of playing it every time you see a field. A true player does not care whether the ball is in good condition or not, whether there’s enough room, whether they’re waring shoes or not, whether they’re sick or feel bad, whether its raining or whether its cold or hot… a true player ignores every possible excuse and just plays for fun. The minute he sees the ball he’ll concentrate on providing the best treatment to it as if the ball was another member of the family. He’ll treat the ball as if it was his own girlfriend, he’ll love it, appreciate it, treat it with respect, with delicacy and most important he’ll make the ball and his skills his only tools to make beautiful football. When they’re young they’ll ignore all their toys and play only with that beautiful instrument, on that magic object. They’ll quickly recognize the ability hidden behind their feet, how the ball walks with him and how the ball will run with him. He’ll recognize how he can make the ball do anything he wants it to do. He’ll realize that the best moments in life are those spent with the ball only. The skills that each player has are gifts and no one else can take hem away, they’ll belong to that player until he dies. He’ll make his feet his hands and prove to anyone how he can play the sport in a way that no one else can, in a way in which everyone watching will become a witness of beautiful art, of a beautiful dance, of beautiful football. He’ll make the most impossible movement look like the easiest one, like the movement that makes part of this dance. This is what makes a real player. Personally I’ve enjoyed watching a player that in my opinion fits these characteristics. I’m sure you’ll who he is.
