Today I would like to tell you about one word that I’ve fallen in love with. This word is the perfect representation of beautiful football, the football that I’ve also fallen in love with. Ginga is a word that was born in Brazil and is now adopted by some Portuguese people. Ginga is a very powerful world, with many meanings. It describes the skills, the joy, the personality needed in order to make beautiful football. If you have Ginga you have the style, you have the gift, the ability to project the most beautiful football ever. If you have Ginga inside, you then project joy, you project beautiful moves, beautiful plays every single time your feet touch a football. In this case you project real football, you play it the way it’s supposed to be played. Every one that has Ginga is honored. They have what all of us consider the skill, the ability to create amazing plays and moves.

Ginga can also mean another thing. It’s not always referred to as the skill or ability to make beautiful football, but its also the environment and the joy around the air, the joy that only football can infect the air with. In Brazil the crowds cheering for soccer teams give a mood to the environment, a mood that will bring out the Ginga around the air. This air infected by Ginga is so powerful that it can make any person, who likes football or not, engage to the sport in a way that can be described. The most important thing, in my opinion, that Ginga actually projects is the joy, the satisfaction in every player. If a player can project that while they’re playing they’ve got Ginga inside them. Most times player don’t smile or don’t seem to happy while they’re playing, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have Ginga. A player can project Ginga wit their moves, with their skills, that is really what projects that joy, those moves are the ones that bring crowds together, those moves and those skills are the fountain of Ginga, they are beautiful football.

Ginga is pretty hard to describe. In this next video I’ll show you two players that project beautiful football, two players that posses Ginga. They’ve earned my respect and my honor because something extremely important about Ginga is that you can only posses it if you were born with it and these tow players are perfect examples of that.
